Holi One Colour Festival

In continuation of the birthday celebrations, we all got together at mine from midday to get into our neon and white. White that would not remain that way for long, as we were off to a very colourful festival!

Holi One takes its inspiration from the Festival of Colour, a Hindu festival known as Holi and celebrated predominantly in India and Nepal. For Hindu’s it represents the start of a new season and is celebrated in the season of love (Feb/March), but our weather is less appealing at that time of year, so this year, on August 3rd, we headed over to Battersea Power station for our own, slightly later version.

There were DJs and dancers on the stage, and every hour from 2pm we had a countdown so the entire crown opened our bags of coloured powder/chalk and released it into the air, creating magnificent colour clouds all at once! As  the pictures show, it was such a laugh and really, very messy..!!
